We're beginning literature circles. Students will work in small groups to read and discuss a book of their choosing (from a list provided by my, so...limited choice).
Each group will be responsible for:
- setting a reading schedule.
- preparing for discussions.
- conducting academic discussions about their reading.
- completing regular check-in tasks.
- completing and presenting a final project which shows the changes which take place within a dynamic character.
Groups will discuss about once a week through this unit, which will end with the completion of their books and projects just before Winter Break.
